Regaining Focus, Week 5

Our fall sermon series, Regaining Focus, is based in the book of 2nd Corinthians. Corinth was a city much like our own, full of driven people tempted to idolize their wealth, status, and accomplishments. In 2nd Corinthians, Paul calls us, like the church in Corinth, to take a messy journey from idolatry to the gospel, realigning our beliefs and actions with Jesus, and placing our focus entirely on Him.

It’s tempting to think of the Bible, and Christianity in general, as nothing more than a set of rules to follow to be good, and it’s equally as tempting to feel pride and look down on those who don’t follow the same rules. But Christianity has never been about what we can accomplish, but rather what God has accomplished for us and the world. The light of the gospel is nothing we can take credit for. It is the free gift of God, by His grace and mercy.

Listen to 2 Corinthians 4:1-6, week five of our sermon series, Regaining Focus.

Join us Sundays at any of our three campus locations as we study 2nd Corinthians to understand how we can realign our hearts and lives with Jesus.
