Join us for an opening reception September 4th, 6-9p at City Gallery

Dorian Monsalve’s artwork consists of scratching away layers of colored ink that he previously applies on a white claybord or scratchboard. By using sharp knives, a fiber glass brush, steel wool, and other tools he creates highly detailed images. The pressure he exerts on the tool used, determines the amount of light or color that is revealed, creating highlights, shadows, and contrast. Read more about Dorian on the City Gallery page.

We love our city and the artists in it! The Vintage First Friday Gallery showcases the talent that is so deeply entrenched in our community. Vintage’s First Friday Gallery hosts an opening reception for artists and musicians every First Friday of the month, participating as a part of the First Friday Raleigh downtown art walk.
