We’re so excited to host many visitors to downtown Raleigh with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and Half Marathon on Sunday, April 10. If you’re planning to attend services at Vintage Church Downtown, there are a few things we wanted to make sure you knew:

  • Vintage Church Downtown is choosing to cancel the 9a service on 4/10 since roads around the church will be closed from 6-10a.
  • Access to Vintage will be clear and open for the 11:30a and the 5p services. You can find additional information on the full and half marathon maps and best travel routes here. The race coordinators have even created a special section to help churches on this page.
  • Plan a few extra minutes if your travel route to downtown will be impacted by the race courses. We made the handout below for you to make it easy so you can just print it from your computer and bring it with you. On the front, you’ll find info specific to Vintage. On the reverse is the church pass handout that marathon coordinators made specifically for Vintage with directions into downtown for race day. You can use the pass to get through metered spots on the race course if you need to (just show it to the police officer at the metered spot).

We hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to love the city. Consider making plans to volunteer during race weekend or show up for part of the race to cheer on the runners.

If you have any questions about the race route, parking, or travel, please write info@vintagenc.com and we’ll be happy to help you!
