West Events

September and October 2023

The Common Rule

Sunday, September 10, 9a
Vintage West

Would you join us for a 9-week study of Justin Whitmel Earley's book The Common Rule? As a practical extension of our Divine Community sermon series and a great way to get to know others in the church, we'll explore how purposeful habits lead us into deeper relationships with the Lord and with one another. We will meet at 9a each Sunday morning and dive into one chapter/practice each week, so come as you are able! Even if you've never joined us for a study before, you won't want to miss this. RSVP here or email Emily Thomas for more information.

New Member Class

Sunday, October 1, 8:30a
Vintage West
As a church, we desire to know, live, and advance the gospel in Cary, Apex and beyond. If you would like to learn more about how Vintage West plans to do that, along with what we believe, please consider joining this class. Attending this class does not commit you to becoming a member, although it is a great way to learn more about the church, meet some of our leaders and ask any questions you may have. Childcare and a light breakfast will be provided for this class. If you have additional questions please email Robert Reichel.

Baptism Sunday

Sunday, October 1
Vintage West
Baptism is a public profession of one's faith in Jesus. It is a visible symbol of God's saving work in an individual's life. We would love to discuss with you more about the decision to be baptized and answer any questions you may have. Please email David Mobley to learn more about next steps.

Sunday at the Shelter

Sunday, October 29, 10a
Apex Community Park
In 2020 and 2021 the Large Shelter at Apex Community Park was our church home – an experience that forged our new church plant into who we are today. This unexpected beginning provided us the opportunity to reach and engage with the community in a way we had not anticipated. We now desire to continue this rhythm of sharing the Gospel at the shelter through worship, prayer, and preaching God’s word.  We hope you'll mark this date on your calendar as we gather together. Lunch will be provided.

Recurring Events – West

Weekly Morning Prayer

Wednesdays, 6:30a
We were created by a faithful, loving God who invites us to pray and assures us he’s listening. When we consider who God is and what he has done, why wouldn’t we go to him with all our lives? All are welcome to join us online as we pray for the church and our city on Wednesday mornings at 6:30a on Google Meet.

Men's Monthly Gathering

Will resume September 26th

Throughout the summer months, we will not be holding our Monthly Men's Gatherings. However, we will look for opportunities to host a few fun events and hangouts to keep up with one another and enjoy some fun time together. Be on the lookout for those! We also encourage you this summer to maintain fellowship with the men you've built relationships with throughout this year. We'll resume our Men's Gathering on September 26th. We look forward to seeing you there!

Sunday Lunches

Stick around after service and join us for a picnic on the second Sunday of each month. Our hope is that these monthly lunches will be an opportunity to connect with one another and meet new faces! This is also a great chance to invite friends and neighbors to join!  We will provide lunch and you can feel free to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets and lawn games to share on the weeks we are outside. Colder weeks we will gather indoors. Contact Elisha Kaufmann with any questions.

Vintage Students Gathering

Every Other Sunday
10a at Vintage West
Vintage Students exists to partner with families to create an environment where every student may learn to know, live, and advance the gospel. Students are welcome with no prerequisite of church background or prior belief. It is a place where we encourage middle and high-schoolers to bring their faith and their doubt as they seek to make sense of who Jesus says he is. Please email Amber Tingle to learn more about Sunday gathering specifics.
