North Kids & Families

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.  And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. (Deuteronomy 6:4-7)

The Vintage North Kids Ministry exists to make much of Jesus with the children in our care. We do this through song, story, and action. Children will listen to and sing traditional and contemporary songs of worship to start their time in class. Then, students will hear the Word in the form of stories or verses. Students engage in discussion and are encouraged to ask and answer questions surrounding the Word. Lastly, we move to action. This could look like a craft, participating in service projects, or simply loving our neighbor as we play. The Vintage North Kids Ministry serves children age one through 5th grade on Sundays during the service. Middle and high school students are invited to join our student ministry outside of the service time in their own community group. We would love to invite your children to participate, learn, and play with us on Sundays. We would also love for you, parents, to join our Kids Ministry team of volunteers. If you have any questions please email or chat with our Kids Ministry Director, Shelby Thomas at Shelby.Thomas@vintagenc.com.

New Family Registration

Any new families are invited to complete the form below in an effort to save you time on Sunday morning.

When I arrive, where should you go?

The Vintage Kids Classrooms are located in the Lower School building to your right after you walk under the big blue awning. You will see a big “Kids and Families” banner and our check-in table.

How do I check my child in for the first time?

You will fill out a New Families card with your basic contact information and the names and ages of your children. We will give your child a sticker name tag and give the adult a temporary parent number for that day.

What classes are available?

Toddlers (1-3 years old), PreK-1st (4-6 years old), and 2nd-5th (7-10 years old).
Students (6th-12th grades) meet twice a month during service.

What will my child do or learn during the service?

Toddlers: They will play, color, read stories, and/or sing songs
PreK-5th: They will read and discuss the same scripture passage that their parents are studying in service. There are memory verse activities and songs as well as activities and crafts related to the Bible lesson.

Who will be in the room with my child?

There are always at least two volunteers per room. Our volunteers serve about once a month. Before they start serving, volunteers are background checked, given training materials, and have shadowed in the classroom.

Will my child be served a snack?

No, a snack will not be provided.
