Serving at Downtown
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies — in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10
Greeting / Welcome Team Vintage Church is a family and you belong here.
Come help us demonstrate this through hospitality at our worship gatherings and special events. This team is responsible for preparing and serving communion,
getting the sanctuary ready for service, and welcoming folks as they come in.
Café Each Sunday morning, a cafe team volunteer puts out coffee and breakfast snacks for our volunteers. The cafe team sets out the refreshments prior to the 9am service, and then cleans up the table during or after the 11am service.
Safety & Care Safety & Care’s desire is to create a comforting and effective environment of safety for all in attendance at Vintage Church, with emphasis on the children entrusted to us.
Vintage Kids Vintage Kids is for infants through fifth grade students and provides an opening activity, teaching time, a discussion, and play time for children each week during the service. It’s our goal to provide a fun, engaging, and structured classroom time to support parents in teaching their children the good news about Jesus.
Vintage Buddies Vintage Buddies is for infants through twelfth grade students with special needs and helps provide dignity and care for this group of students. Vintage Buddies attend class with a student that they’re paired with weekly/bi-weekly and help that student access the opening activity, teaching time, discussion, and play time on their age level.
Connections Team Through our connections process new folks and Vintage regulars alike start by filling out a connect card or stopping by the Info Room. Through either of these they’ll indicate their interest in things like becoming a member, serving, or joining a community group, and connections volunteers both point them to the right information and walk with them through the process.
Medical Team Are you a medical professional or do you have any medical certifications? If so, we would love for you to consider using your expertise to provide basic medical care in the event an emergency arises on Vintage Church property until EMS arrives. Thanks for your consideration!
Count Team The Count Team meets every Sunday evening for about 45 minutes to count and document each week’s giving for all Vintage Church congregations. Count team volunteers typically serve once a month. To serve on the Count Team you must be a Member of Vintage Church, have tithed consistently for one year, have no criminal history, and have a good credit score (690 or above).
Production Team Much of what we experience throughout our Sunday Worship Gatherings is based on the essential work of the Production Team. It is a “behind the scenes” team that serves in a big way. This team consists of three areas:
Service Director helps keep the Sunday schedule running and makes sure everyone is where they need to be at the right times.
Audio Tech balances the sound of the band and mixes in all other spoken and recorded audio elements.
Video Tech runs the slides/videos/images seen on the screen as well as the lighting.
Worship Band Musical leaders at Vintage are part of an auditioned group of people dedicated to leading the musical portion of worship at Vintage with passion and excellence. Musicians at Vintage may serve during Sunday mornings, worship nights, college nights, or other special events as needed.
If you are interested in serving, indicate it on the form below OR fill out a Connect Card in the pewback on Sunday and drop it in one of the white basins around the room.
