The Giving Tree is one way we can love the city. Each of our local churches partner with organizations significant to their own congregations. Downtown:
LOVING THE NEIGHBORHOOD
This is a Vintage ministry who strives weekly to meet the needs of those experiencing food insecurity out of our own 1880 Room. There is no need to wrap the gifts – please drop off in the Info Room under the tree by 1/6.
RALEIGH RESCUE MISSION
Raleigh Rescue Mission transforms lives of homeless men, women and children by ministering to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Orders place from the children’s list will go into a gift shop where parents can choose gifts for their children. Ship directly to Raleigh Rescue Mission (it will automatically choose their address in your Amazon cart).
All items from the original Children’s and Adult lists have now been purchased — praise God! We’ve created an additional list of needs that RRM recently sent over for anyone who would still like to participate.
North:
This Advent season, Vintage North is partnering with StepUp Ministry, an employment and life skills training program, to provide gifts for children in the program. Gifts have already been collected but you can donate here!
Durham:
THE VILLAGE DURHAM
The Giving Tree in the lobby of Vintage Church Durham features tags in support of The Village Durham, whose mission is to support family preservation by connecting parents in crisis to relationships and organizations in our community that can help.
Chapel Hill / Carrboro:
HEALING TRANSITIONS
This Christmas, we’re partnering with Healing Transitions, a local organization that offers innovative, peer-based recovery services for men and women experiencing homelessness, addiction, and lack of access to care.
You can help support individuals and their families in recovery by donating a toy from the Healing Transitions Amazon Wishlist. Your gift will bring joy and encouragement to both participants and their children during this season.
Please consider ordering by December 5 so all gifts can be delivered in time for Christmas.
